Gathering in Bishkek at 6:30 AM, departure towards Kochkor at 7:00 AM. We will arrive in Kochkor around 10:00 AM, have breakfast at a café, and head to Kel Ukok Lake. We will drive up to the lake, take a walk along its shore, take many beautiful photos, and return to Kochkor. In Kochkor, we will have lunch at a café before heading towards Song Kul Lake. After about 4 hours, we will reach the plateau where the lake is located. We will drive to a viewpoint, from where we will see the whole lake. Afterwards, we will head towards 33 Parrots Pass to watch the sunset (a romantic touch to the tour; here at the viewpoint, we will drink champagne and farewell the day). Around 8 PM, we will depart for Naryn, and after 2 hours, we will be at our hotel, where we can rest after this busy day.

After breakfast, we will head towards Kel Tor Lake. Approximately 3-4 km before reaching our final destination, we will leave the car and walk towards the lake. The walk to the lake will take no more than an hour. We will stroll along the beautiful shores of the lake, take many photos, and return to the car where a picnic will be organized with tasty herbal tea, sandwiches, and various sweets. After the picnic, we will continue our journey towards Köl-Suu Lake. On the way, we will make a stop at the border post, go through customs, and in the evening arrive at the yurt camp located 7 km from the lake. We will settle in the yurts, have dinner, and relax.

After breakfast, we will hike to Köl Su Lake. It will take about 2 hours to reach the lake one way. Upon reaching the lake, we will walk along the steep cliffs, visit a cave, and those who wish may take a boat ride. After our walk, a picnic will be organized, and we will prepare lunch boxes with sandwiches and fresh vegetables for you. After the picnic, we will return to the camp and depart for Naryn city. Upon arriving at the hotel, we will check in, have dinner, and rest.

In the morning, not too early, we will depart for Bishkek. On the way, we will make a stop in Kochkor city to eat at a café, then continue directly towards Bishkek without further stops. We will arrive at the finishing point around 4 PM.
If you find this 4-day tour too short and wish to spend a few more days by the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, we can organize a transfer for you to any point on Issyk-Kul Lake of your choice on the return journey from the city of Balakchy, if you inform us in advance. We will also arrange return transfers from any point on Issyk-Kul Lake to Bishkek, the airport, or customs.

The currency in Kyrgyzstan is Som.

In most places we will visit, payment is accepted in cash only.

You can use your card in large chain stores like Globus and Asia.

Therefore, you need to have a supply of cash in soms. You can withdraw money from ATMs at the airport, in large shopping centers, and in banks or exchange it in major towns along our route. For additional expenses, you might need:

1.Horse rental at Lake Köl Su: 2000 soms per person for the trip + horse guide: 1500 soms per person – optional

2.Boat trip on Lake Köl Su: 1500 soms per person – optional

3.Lunches and dinners in cafes: 1000 - 1200 soms per person per meal, dinner in the yurt camp: 800-1000 soms per person.

The group will gather at 6:30 AM at: Bishkek, Chuy Avenue 41 (near the Globus store opposite the heating plant).

The tour will commence at 7:00 AM.

We must start our tour from Bishkek no later than 7:00 AM local time, so please plan your arrival so as to align with the entire group's schedule. I or my assistant can meet you at the airport or at the Kurday Customs on the day the tour starts, at least 2.5 hours prior to the meeting time at the tour starting point in Bishkek. If there are no suitable flights from your city arriving in Bishkek in the morning, you need to fly in the day before and stay overnight, joining the group in the morning.

Lake Köl Su is located in a border zone, and visiting these areas requires a pass.

To obtain the pass, you must provide a copy of your passport no later than 15 working days before the start of the tour.

The cost of the border pass is included in the tour price.

Do not forget to take the same passport with you that you submitted for the pass.

The climate in Kyrgyzstan is moderately continental, warm, and dry.

The average summer temperature is 30-35 degrees Celsius.

In the mountains, the temperature decreases as altitude increases, reaching 10-15 degrees during the day, while nighttime temperatures may drop to 0+5 degrees Celsius.

Please bring: comfortable walking shoes for the mountains that are water resistant, a jacket or down jacket, a good raincoat, a hat, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, warm clothing for overnight stays in the yurt, a small towel, and a 20-30 liter backpack.

These items are necessary so that you can take them with you on walks to the lakes (raincoat, change of clothes, and additional warm clothing, water, and food).

Take the clothing recommendations seriously, as the weather in the mountains where we will be can change very frequently, and it is impossible to predict what the weather will be like in 2-3 hours.

The hotels and guesthouses we cooperate with are clean and cozy.

All hotels provide 2-3 person accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, and each room has a shower, toilet, and Wi-Fi.

In the yurt camps, accommodation is for 3-4 people in one yurt, with shared showers and toilets located outside.

If you want single accommodation, please notify us in advance, and we will book a separate room for you.

I want to note that most guesthouses in the regions of Kyrgyzstan do not have single rooms and charge for a double room per person.

In many locations, we will undertake simple 2-3 hour walks through gorges and canyons.

At Lake Kël Tor, the walk to the lake will take 1 hour one way; the route is simple with a moderate climb on a mountain trail.

At Lake Kël Su, the walk to the lake takes at least 2 hours one way. This area is situated at an altitude of over 3000 meters above sea level, making it difficult for many to walk at this height.

If you find it hard to walk, we can arrange a horse for you that will take you to the lake and back. Please inform us about this before the trip begins.

All breakfasts are included in the cost of the program.

The tour also includes 2 picnics in the mountains on the 2nd and 3rd days of the trip, as well as 1 liter of bottled water per day per person.

During the trip, there are always 2 thermoses with hot herbal tea and all necessary utensils in the vehicle, so you can make stops at beautiful locations to rest and enjoy some hot tea.

All necessary supplies for making boiled coffee are also always available in the car; you can ask the guide, and he will prepare this aromatic drink for you.

Lunches and dinners in cafes and the yurt camp are not included in the trip cost.
