What to expect on this trip
During this trip, we will visit two of the most beautiful gorges in the eastern part of Issyk-Kul. We will ascend to the mountain lake Alakol, bathe in hot springs, sit by the campfire, stargaze, take many beautiful photos, and cherish the best moments of this trip.
PROGRAM
Departure at 8 AM. We head to the city of Karakol, stopping by a store to buy everything necessary for the hike. Today we will ascend to the upper reaches of the Karakol Gorge, leave the car, and conduct a training hike up the gorge for acclimatization. After all activities, we will set up tents and prepare dinner. After dinner, we will prepare for tomorrow's ascent and rest.
We wake up at 6 AM, have breakfast, and set out on the route. The ascent to the lake will take 5-6 hours, covering a distance of 7 km with an elevation gain of 800 m. When we reach the lake, we will have no more than 2 hours to rest and admire the beauty. Around 3 PM, we will head back. By evening, we will return to the camp, have dinner, and rest after a challenging day.
After breakfast, we pack up the camp and head to Altyn Arashan Gorge. We will drive up the gorge, take a short walk around the area, bathe in the hot mineral springs, take many beautiful photos, and have lunch by the river. Overall, we will enjoy the views, relax, and rest on this day. After lunch, we will get back in the car and head back. We will arrive in Cholpon-Ata around 8-9 PM.

- In case of cancellation, a 100% refund of the prepayment is possible no later than 20 days before the start of the tour. After 20 days before the start of the tour, the prepayment is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
Details and Information
During the tour, we will sleep in a tent camp. We will provide good tents, sleeping mats, and sleeping bags. We also have a rain tarp, table and chairs, gas, and a stove, along with all necessary dishes and food supplies in the car. All of this is provided to you free of charge.
All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included in the tour cost, except for dinner on the 3rd day of the trip. We will prepare breakfasts and dinners together in the camping area from the food we bring with us. Breakfast: scrambled eggs or porridge, cheese, butter, sausage, tea, coffee, sweets. For dinner, hot dishes with meat, salad, bread, tea, and sweets. For lunch, we will make sandwiches with cheese and sausage, tea, sweets, and dried fruits.
For our trips, we use all-terrain jeeps or minibuses. Our drivers have extensive experience driving in the mountains, and they drive carefully and safely. The driver also serves as the guide; he will tell you all about the locations you will visit, show you the most beautiful and interesting places, and lead you to Lake Alakol. He will also prepare your meals and assist with setting up the camp.
The average air temperature during this trip is 20-24 degrees Celsius. In the mountains, as the altitude increases, it becomes cooler, ranging from 6 to 12 degrees Celsius. At night, the air temperature can drop to 0-5 degrees Celsius.
Please bring with you: a small backpack for personal items, a water bottle, comfortable hiking shoes, trekking poles, a light jacket or down jacket, a raincoat, a hat or cap, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimwear, and a small towel.
